Introduction to the system
The eddy observation system, using the principle of eddy covariance, is a micrometeorological measurement method that uses fast-response sensors to measure the material exchange and energy exchange between the atmosphere and the underlying surface. It is a standard method to directly measure the flux, and it is the key technology to measure the exchange flux of matter and energy in the ecosystem. Due to different measurement methods and principles, eddy motion observation systems are divided into open-circuit eddy motion observation systems and closed-circuit eddy motion observation systems.
The eddy motion observation system can measure energy flux (sensible heat flux, latent heat flux, momentum flux), material flux (CO2 / H2O / CH4 / N2O) and some aerodynamic parameters, etc. It is mainly used in boundary layer theory Research, atmospheric diffusion, energy budget research, moisture and other material budgets and many other fields.
Flux observation is suitable for various underlying surface environments such as forests, grasslands, farmland, deserts, cities, and waters. Research; as an effective means to measure the information of material and energy exchange between ecosystems and the atmosphere, it provides an important data basis for analyzing the interaction of the geosphere-biosphere-atmosphere, and provides support for large-scale, long-term and continuous scientific research.
System overview
Open-circuit eddy systems can measure sensible heat flux, momentum flux, and other fluxes between the atmosphere and the Earth's surface. This system includes a data collector, fast response, 3D ultrasonic anemometer and fast response scalar sensor. An independent low-speed response sensor for measuring temperature and humidity is also needed, and the measured data can be used as a reference for calculating meteorological variables. The horizontal wind speed and direction can be calculated by the data collector and the data measured by the three-dimensional ultrasonic anemometer.
