Plant roots play an important role in fixing plants obtaining water and nutrients, but the limitation of soil unobservability brings certain difficulties to the study of root ecology. Therefore, it is particularly important to find a method to observe root growth in situ to study root ecology.
DJ-3205 plant 3D root growth monitoring system adopts micro-root window technology, combined with 3D panoramic imaging, to obtain the profile image of the entire root canal at one time, grasp the growth dynamics of the root system in the soil, and solve the problem caused by the need to splice each root canal in situ root detection equipment on the market when it is scanned and analyzed multiple times.
The innovative application of 3D panoramic technology in plant root research has the following advantages:
1) Each root canal is imaged once, which is convenient to operate and saves time;
2) The obtained root system is continuous as a whole, the results are more accurate, and the analysis does not need to stitch the image again, avoiding the overlapping phenomenon during multi-map analysis;
3) The scanner has a distance encoder for accurate root growth depth data.
