Overview

Soil animal separation funnels have been used worldwide for more than 50 years and are instruments that separate soil organisms from soil samples using dry or wet forms.

Highlighted Features

·  Dry or wet collection is possible, precision aluminum funnel construction, collection groove with plugs to prevent biological loss, simple design, easy to operate;

·  Place the soil or hay sample on the movable upper part of the funnel. The heat and light of the lamp create a temperature gradient of approximately 14°C for the soil sample. This stimulates arthropods and other organisms to move downward through the tulle to the collection trough at the bottom of the funnel;

·  There are vents around the filter screen to prevent the soil sample from hardening and consolidating;

·  If wet collection is to be used, the funnel is filled with water, the tulle is placed, nematodes or other organisms that swim are collected at the bottom of the funnel, and the bottom can be extracted at intervals (this method is suitable for collecting golden nematodes), with or without lights.
